The John P. Musante Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is a 4,050 square foot DPH-licensed clinic designed to provide primary and preventative medical and dental care services to an underserved population. The project features 4 medical exam rooms, a lab, 3 dental treatment suites, a dental laboratory and sterilization facilities, medical and dental touch-down spaces, a generous waiting area, and a community outreach space. The layout is designed to integrate the health facility into the Town of Amherst’s community center in a cooperative undertaking honoring a beloved, civic-minded figure. The intensive renovation of an underutilized activity space required extensive improvements to the building’s M/E/P/FP systems.
