Town Hall - Various Projects
The Amherst Town Hall is a turn-of-the-century Richardsonian-Romanesque structure featuring corbelled, ashlar masonry and sympathetic brick detailing befitting the building’s presence on the Town Common. HAI, Inc., then Architects, Inc. began an extensive work history with the Amherst Town Hall with a 1993 building envelope project including major roofing and minor masonry repairs, followed by an extensive slate roof repair with historically correct copper gutters and downspouts in 2002, extensive masonry repairs in coordination with the National Park Service in 2008, a renovation of a 5,000 square foot second floor office suite in 2009, and most recently a study for a Civil War Memorial in 2013.
